Our Services

Local, Like You

Our process begins by learning where you are in the Medicare system. There are different steps for those coming into Medicare for the first time, for people who have moved into a new area, and for those who are established on a Medicare plan — among many others.

From there, we learn about your needs. Prescriptions, for example, are a major factor in finding the right plan. Finding out if you would prefer a Medicare Supplement plan or an Advantage plan is another major early decision which we will walk you through.

Once we know about your situation, we can explore your options and find the right plan from you. At that point, we become your local agent and the person you can call any time with questions or issues. We provide year-round customer service to our clients and send out a follow-up letter every September ahead of the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. Client needs can change, and plan costs and offerings change annually as well. We want to make sure you are properly set up for each year ahead.

All of our services are no-cost and no-obligation.

What we offer

  • Medicare Advantage

Also known as Part C, Medicare Advantage plans are offered through commercial insurance companies. They operate primarily on a co-pay model with monthly premiums, though many plans have $0 premiums. They are required to cover everything Original Medicare covers, but may also offer additional benefits like gym memberships, OTC allowances and additional coverage for vision, hearing and dental.

  • Medicare Supplements

Also known as Medigap plans, Medicare Supplements are offered through commercial insurance companies. They charge monthly premiums that are higher, typically considerably, than Medicare Advantage, but cover out-of-pocket costs for Medicare approved services. They do not cover prescription drugs, necessitating a stand-alone drug plan.

  • Drug Coverage

Drug coverage can be obtained through Medicare Advantage plans or stand-alone drug plans. Obtaining drug coverage is important even for clients without considerable prescription needs. Failing to obtain drug coverage when initially eligible for Medicare results in a late enrollment penalty, which is permanent and monthly, if coverage is obtained late.

  • Special Coverage

Plans are available for persons with low income, that cater to specific chronic conditions. Veterans who are using the VA and/or TRICARE have additional options as well. There are also plans that can be purchased for additional dental, vision and hearing benefits.
